DaveCarter
Looks like I need to put on a replacement Cat Converter. Called Summit to get one and they need to know the diameter of the exhaust system pipes. Anyone got that info for a 2000 Seville. I've searched this site and all over the web and in all data DIY, but can't find the info. Dave
JasonA
I believe it's 2.5". The front pipes are 2.5" ahead of the Y pipe, and 2.25" behind the Y pipe, where the mufflers are. To check yours, just to be sure, put it up on ramps and measure the circumference of the pipe. From the circumference, you can find the diameter. C = pi * D, where D is the diameter and pi is the constant 3.14. A 2.25" diameter pipe should have a C of about 7.0". A 2.5" diameter pipe should have a C of about 7.9". A 2.75" diameter pipe should have a C of about 8.6" Jason(2001 STS, White Diamond) "When you turn your car on...does it return the favor?"
