jmooney5115
Hello, I read the FAQs and How-to's but I couldn't find the answer to this question. My friends 2000 STS or it's a SLS, the fuel cut off is 110MPH and he wants to know how to get rid of it. With maximas, if there is a speed limiter then you can just cut a wire, but the Cadillac may not be the same. Can someone offer some advice? Thanks, Mooney
Ranger
You can't get ride of it. It is programmed in the PCM based on the tire rating that came from the factory. The only one that can change it is a dealer with the Tech II tool, but it is VERY unlikely that they would do it as the liabilty is too great. If your friend were to get hurt or kill himself the trial lawyers would be salivating.
67coupedeville
Hypothetically speaking, would the same be able to be done to...say a 1995 Eldorado at the dealer? Spence
