When I push the button the light comes on then turns off, but when I push the button and have my foot on the gas pedal the light stays on??? Can anyone help? Thank You. navion
ZScafe, If your r/w defroster will stay on while driving or when you have the engine above idle RPM, it suggests that you could possibly have a voltage problem. This could be caused by loose or dirty battery connections, a bad battery, bad alternator, loose serpentine belt tensioner, etc. I would display the voltage on your DIC and with the engine at idle, watch the voltage as you press the R/W defrost button. If the voltage drops into the 12.9 or less, then I would say that you need to check your charging system and battery for problems. It is not as likely, but the relay that holds the R/W defrost on is starting to fail. I would definately eliminate the battery/charging system before I went much further. Good Luck, Britt Britt
