JoeM
Morons at Autozone and Murray's dont know.... lol... and they cant look up a gm part number either. One guy claimed the power steering pump could be hooked up to the master cylinder... I laughed at him.
JimD
Any GM dealer's parts counter will have GM's bottled PS fluid (part# 89020661). It is a little pricier than aftermarket - grocery store fluid. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !
JasonA
It uses standard Power Steering (PS) fluid...not automatic transmission fluid like some cars take. Just get a name-brand fluid at any retailer and you'll be good to go. Jason(2001 STS, White Diamond) "When you turn your car on...does it return the favor?" acklac7
"One guy claimed the power steering pump could be hooked up to the master cylinder"...He probably got Cadillac's confused Audi's. I belive Audi's use the same fluid (and pump) for both the power steering and brakes. My old 88 quattro used to run low on hydraulic fluid and it was nearly impossible to break or turn. A.J.
