tomster82
I have a 1997 Cadillac SLS Northstar. New and charged battery, new fuel filter, new spark plugs. It cranks over great but takes about 1 to 2 minutes of cranking before it starts. After 1 to 2 minutes it tries to start a couple times and then eventually fires and runs fine. Once the engine is warm there is seldom an issue with starting. Although, it seems to be getting worse. When this problem first occurred it was temperature sensitive (only when it was cold outside). Now, it is a constant issue. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!
BodybyFisher
First check for codes see the bottom of my post click link follow directions for your year and post codes here Put a fuel pressure gage on your fuel rail connection and check for fuel pressure, when you turn your key on and while trying to start. Maybe your fuel pump or circuitry is quirky when cold.
