KrisR
Hello all, Long story short - I used to own a '98 ESC and really liked it; now I own a '96 STS (plus a '00 C5 Coupe) and I also really enjoy the car. I recently "re-found" this site - It's nice to find a dedicated group of Cadillac folks. Anyway, when I start my car after it has not been run for more than 1 hour beforehand, the 'Check Oil Level' message comes up on the information center. Pressing either the "Info" or "Info Reset" buttons clears it, until I restart the car again later. The oile level is at the 'full' line on the dipstick. Is this a sensor issue or what? Thanks for any info, Kris
Greg P.
Sounds like the sensor. Check to see that the connector is securely fastened. I had mine come loose before.

Ranger
I believe it is in the front (of the car) side of the oil pan.
