CadiKing
Hi Everyone, '99 STS Yesterday my CD player was slow in ejecting the CD. It did come out, but I had to pull it out the rest of the way. Has anyone had this happen? I don't want to put in another CD and have it become stuck in the player. Is there something I should be cleaning? HELP! thanks,

DFBonnett
Over time these units seem to get gummed up and sluggish exhibiting the symptoms you report. Sometimes spraying canned air into the slot helps, but it is likely you will have to have it repaired. I used http://www.unitedradio.com/ with good results. Others have used http://modelelectronicsinc.com/ with similar success. Figure approximately $200, IIRC. FWIW
Scotty
I concur with DFBonnett, I have used www.modelelectronics.com with success. As with anything these units need to be serviced once in a while, the lube gums up, belts wear out oxidize and slip and adjustment is needed. Good Luck, Mike
Cupillac
Hi, I would just try another CD to make sure. Sometimes mine will act sluggish when there some specific CD's in the player. Regis
Hi, I would just try another CD to make sure. Sometimes mine will act sluggish when there some specific CD's in the player. Definitely would try another CD (preferably someone elses ) before jumping the gun. Then maybe a couple quick short blasts of compressed air (CO2) and see what happens. CD players don't seem too fond of humid days. Let us know what happens. -kg "Burns" rubber " I've never considered myself to be all that conservative, but it seems the more liberal some people get the more conservative I become.
