winterset
I couldn't believe my eyes when I passed a local auto salvage yard, and noticed a white gem of a Deville sitting out front. it didn't say Clunker like the rest of the cars there, but it had written on the window "Engine siezed". anyway - I just couldn't pass up buying 2 of the chrome rims for $60 each. I can honestly say this car looks like it was kept in a garage it's whole life. all chrome, paint, seats looked great (just dirty from sitting out). I took the rims home, cleaned them up, then had Costco put 2 Michelins on them. my chrome wheels were ok, but the new ones were like mirrors. I know now to clean with a softer cloth, and to just use car cleaner & wax (no chrome polish anymore). if anyone needs parts for a white Deville with tan interior it's on Parsippany Rd. in Whippany NJ.
