letitbe133 Posted November 1, 2009 Report Share Posted November 1, 2009 Ok, here I am again with my newcomer questions I read somewhere that coolant change was very important, especially on the Northstar alloy engines. So first, what kinda coolant should I use, and should I premix it 50/50 with distilled water ? Second, what about pellets that are supposed to be added to the coolant upon replacement ? Ranger Posted November 2, 2009 Report Share Posted November 2, 2009 The '94 came with conventional green coolant. If you can't find that, then any universal coolant should work. GM stopped using the sealant tabs, but if you want to use them get Barsleaks tabs (product code HDC) or the powdered version (G12BP).
