Ruud
Hi all, Today my beloved Eldo failed the emission test - CO I get code E026 - SHORTED THROTTLE SWITCH CIRCUIT Would this be the cause of the high CO?
Ranger
I don't think so, but it probably set a PCM code and that alone will do it.

Ruud
That IS a PCM code. lol yes, according to the list above, however on my list and on the DTC it's an ECM code When I have to make a u turn or similar action the engine often dies a few times, starts right up but then dies again if I engage Reverse. When it's in drive there's no problem at all with normal driving. HAs this something to do with the code as well?
Ranger
Prior to '96 and OBDII it was called an ECM (Engine Control Module). When Uncle Sam mandated OBDII, he also mandated that each and every manufacturer use the same terminology and ECM became PCM (Powertrain Control Module).
