JasonA Posted June 15, 2004 Report Share Posted June 15, 2004 Are you talking about the little hex-headed bolt on the underside, that holds the plunger to the shaft? I've never disassembled the valve that far -- just make sure the sides of the plunger cavity are free and the plunger is free of crud. The OE EGR valve gasket seems to be pretty stout. I've had mine off two or three times and I've reused the original gasket everytime. It's very thick and "soft" (seals well).
