lacseville
hey all, I was installing my manifold temp (or something) sensor and the threads got started kinda crooked, and now the threads won't go straight in. i figured out the thread count and size bolt. how's the best way to re-tap these threads? I have an extra manifold I can use, but it's on my old engine, and I don't want to. Thanks for your help guys.
Ranger
Get a taper tap of the correct size and start it by hand. Make sure it is perpendicular to the hole and work it in slowly to try and catch the original thread. You may be able to staighten out the cross thread.
