Ranger
I think 3-4 was recommended, but 2 should do you just fine.

SIXXDOGG
Good morning. They were crushed...and mixed in with the coolant...and added to the reservoir...I hope this was the right way... (right at the end of filling it up) Nick
Ranger
The correct way is to put them in the radiator hose, but if they where broken down and mixed well with the coolant, you should be OK.

They are Barsleaks Cooling System Supplement (sealant tabs). GM no longer uses or recommends them unless there is a seepage problem. If you want to use them get Barsleaks tabs, product code HDC or the powdered version G12BP. Most auto parts stores as well as Walmart and such carry them. ryanlongmire24
Yes tabs thanks.... Do you think I need them? Also, is there any thread on how to drain the fluid... Plus I have no access to water hose to flush the system so what type of alternate should I seek in that regard...?
Ranger
No I don't think you need the tabs and I no longer recommend them (nor does GM). The drain is on the lower left of the radiator and is easier to access if you remove the splash shield. No need to flush anything. Just drain what you can and refill 50/50 Dex/distilled water.
