spanky11 Posted September 29, 2007 Report Share Posted September 29, 2007 I have a 2000 DHS and installed a 6 CD changer in the glove box. Am currently considering a 2004 DTS. Can I put that same changer in the 2004? Did not know if 2004 has same wiring (behind glove box) and same mounting brackets, or if they changed? Thus, the CD changer from an '00 - '01 Deville will not function in an '02 - '05 Deville (or vice versa); the hardware and software are incompatible. However, the installation of the CD changer was the same for all '00 - '05 Devilles. So, if you do buy the '04 DTS, and you can acquire a newer CD changer, you will be able to install it in exactly the same way as you did for your '00 DHS. Good luck!
