JimD
I could not resist the temptation. My engine is performing as expected, but I just had to take a look at one of the original plugs at 124K miles (I experienced the days when less than 20K miles was the life of spark plugs). The single plug I pulled (#2) has beautiful white-coated electodes and the gap is approximately 0.060". Good enough for me. Platinum tips and unleaded fuel do the job. If it ain't broke.... JasonA
I've got 130k mile plugs in mine. I'd expect the same if I pulled one of 'em. LOL Jason(2001 STS, White Diamond) "When you turn your car on...does it return the favor?"
Scotty
Remember the old days? The electrodes sometimes would be down to nothing, and .035 became .060 after what 15,000 miles? I guess I should forget about mine at 55,000 miles huh!, Mike
JasonA
When I first got my Nissan truck (at 171k miles), I think the plugs were original (regular NGKs). When I pulled them, the electrodes were barely there and the gap was at least to .10" or more. I don't know how it ran, but it ran well. It ran that much better, though, with new plugs at .035" gap.
