joeb Posted April 13, 2004 Report Share Posted April 13, 2004 I bought a 98 grand prix for my boy last week. it has 95k miles but is in great shape. we now notice when slowing to a stop, that right at about 10 mph we hear a quick buzz/hmm that appears to be coming from the transmission. it lasts for about 1sec or less. it does not do it if the gear selector is in "2". how similar is this tranny versus the tranny in the seville? it could be a loose cat heat shield but it sounds like it is coming from the trans. it shifts up fine. no other tranny issues. maybe the 1-2 shift solenoid. any ideas?
