cyrez00
Hey guys, Have been looking around at the front end of my car because the lower joints shows some clearance. When there, i noticed 2 rubber block (small ones) tie-rapped half way in my spring. It looks like they are spacer or somesort or maybe to stiffen the springs? Anyone an idea of what those things are doing there? and... can i take them out? (haven't checked the other side... too lazy today) Thanks Marc. If you are in complete control..... you are not going fast enough....

cyrez00
Take them out. Someone put them in there to stiffen or raise the front end. Yup.... have cut them out, on each front spring 3 of those little blocks. Was already really happy with the ride i had altough sometimes a bit stiff on certain roads..... but now i'm REALLY happy!!! Jeezzz.... this really made a difference! makes you wonder why in earth's name they ever put those stupid things in... The previous owner had 21" rims underneath it though... maybe the front needed to be raised just a bit in order to have enough clearance? Whatever.... am happy now.
