shipping weight vs actual

as stated in subject... what's the difference? service manual say shipping weight is 3426. is that w/ 2/3 passengers? what weight do they assume a typical passenger weighs? sorry stupid question, but there's not much goin on this sun night!

the Maximum Gross Vehicle weight is the weight that the manufacturers states is the maximum the vehicle can handle fully loaded with luggage, passengers or whatnot.

MGV **includes** the weight of the vehicle itself, PLUS the passengers etc.

The door jam sticker should tell you what the actual vehicle weight is and what the MGV weight is. The different between the two is your "cargo".

If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans.
