l84aropin
lately my mom's caddy (2002-2005 sts?) won't start. then after letting it set for a few hours it'll start like a champ. My dad thinks that there is a correlation between moving the seat and not starting (i think he might be off his rocker...) but any how have taken it to the dealership a few times and they say nothing is wrong. ANY HELP??? I would greatly appriciate it.
Ranger
Moving the seats has nothing to do with it. Sounds like you are saying it has a hot start problem. That is indicative of a leaky FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator). It is a small canister on the fuel rail. Pull the vacuum hose off while the engine is at idle. If fuel leaks from the nipple, the diaphragm is bad and it needs to be replaced.
Spurlee
Ranger is correct. It's an easy item to replace. Try www.rockauto.com and they will get one to you right away for about $40.00. Scott 1996 El Dorado 2006 STS 2000 Corvette
