OynxSTS Posted January 25, 2007 Report Share Posted January 25, 2007 No, according to the FSM for 2001 and 2002 (I checked both) you don't need to do the Adapt... This is interesting... I checked the FSM for 1998 and in that "book" if you change just the fluid, you don't, but if you change the fluid and the screens you do. Considering the transmission has been basically the same since 1993... I would bet that you never "had" to do the adapt function. I would suspect it is like the "relearn" procedure for the crank sensors. "recommended but not required" How many miles on the 2001... This is a little early to be swapping tranny fluid...
