seven
Hi, Did some research with some old threads but nothing matched my exact problem. I was driving, had the heater on and then I heard it shut down like it blew a fuse or something. Now the only place where any heat comes out is the right middle dash vent and only when I accelerate. Even with the fan turned to high nothing is happening. I'm not mechanical at all but I would like to try and fix before bringing it in for service. Is there a fuse for the fan? Thnks in advance, Scott
kigy311
It could be a vacuum motor under the dash. But it could be the blower motor itself if nothing happen with the fan all the way up.Turn the fan ON and pop the hood open;grab a wrench or something and tap on the blower motor if it's not working and see if it starts. Ranger
It is most likely the blower motor, a rather common problem, but check for a clean, tight connection at the blower plug on the firewall.
