A perp they've been looking for for a while apparently had a thing for stealing SUVs and minivans. He had the bright idea to steal a new Hummer H2, in Nashville. He thought he'd disable the Onstar system by ripping the Onstar faceplate out of the dashboard and be on his way. Thankfully, the system is much more than a simple faceplate, and when the vehicle was reported stolen by its owner the next day. They said it took Onstar technicans 10 seconds to report the vehicle's current location, 300 miles away. They talked officers right to the vehicle and after a vehicular chase, they caught one of America's Most Wanted, no doubt due in part to Onstar.
