GreenMachine
GM has chosen to use an axle company in mexico for parts of the new Camaro. It was a choice between them and a local axle company to me (American Axle) and it would have brought much needed Jobs back to the plant. It's almost to the point where it doesn't matter what car you buy because all it does is feed the pockets of the CEO's. Its one thing to assemble the new Camaro in Ontario with American made goods but another to go south of the border and then ship them up to Canada. In shipping costs alone I don't see why this was their choice but who knows. JimD
Any and all additional shipping costs are nothing compared to the savings over a domestic labor / benefits contract package.
