swampone
Ok, I changed out the alternator to fix a no battery charge problem and the one thing I was worried about while doing it was; damaging the cooling system because I had to remove the hose going to the radiator, remove the fan, and while removing the alternator from the tight space cause some damage to the fins. After putting everything back together, Everything seamed fine and I ran the engine for about 20min and it started running hot. Went and bought coolant to fill. Gave the car a chance to cool off and still it was running hot. I also noticed that the car seems to be struggling as soon as it is started and continues onto running hot, definately related. And this is even after the car has sat overnight. Any help would be appreciated!
Ranger
Since you removed the radiator hose, I would guess that there is air in the system. Rev the engine a few times to purge the air. After it cools down, check and top off the tank if necassary.
