TRANSMISSION SOLENOIDS

REPLACED A B SOLENOIDS BECAUSE OF 94 CODE ,BEFORE I WOULD SHUT OFF ENGINE PUT CAR IN NEUTRAL,RESTART ENGINE,ACCELERATE AND IT WOULD SHIFT GEAR UNTIL RPMS GET UP A LITTLE BIT THEN FALL BACK OUT OF GEAR.ITS NOT POPPING ANY CODES NOW BUT NOW THE CAR WONT SHIFT OUT OF THIRD,BEFORE U WOULD SHUT ENGINE OFF,PUT IT IN NEUTRAL RESTART IT WAS POPPING THE SOMETHING 94 CODE TO TELL A SOLENOID WAS BAD.DOES ANYONE HAV PICTURES OF WHERE THE CHECK BALLS NEED TO BE ON THE THROTTLE SO I CAN MAKE SURE I HAVE THEM IN THE RIGHT PLACE,UR RESPONSE WOULD BE APPRECIATED

MY TOP WIRE SEEMS TO HAVE COME OFF,JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT WOULD BE THE PROBLEM WITH IT NOT WANTING TO SHIFT,NOT THE SOLENOID WIRES,COULD SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THAT DOES IT HAS THREE WIRES GOING INTO THE PLUG

I PUT WIRE BACK ON PUT THE PAN BACK ON AND IT IS SHIFTING PAST THIRD GEAR BUT STILL POPS OUTOF GEAR,SOMETIMES IT WILL READ P029 THEN ILL RESET THE COMPUTER AND THE NEXT TIME IT SLIPS OUT IT WILL READ P094,CAN SOMEO0NE HELP ME

Top wire? You need to explain what you are looking at or where you are. Can you take a photo of what you are working on and post it? You will need to take a low res photo, less than 60K if I am not mistaken. Are you in the pan? I thought you replaced the shift solenoids, what wire are you talking about? Did you check the position of the check balls, what did you hold them in place with?

P029 (E029) .............. Transaxle Shift 'B' solenoid problem (1st, 3rd, 4th gear)

P094 (E094) ............ Transaxle Shift "A" Solenoid Problem (Vehicle Speed Sensor)

Did you replace the shift solenoids? Did you use the new bracket? What is the status of the check balls?

THERE ARE THE TWO PLUGS THAT GO INTO THE SOLENOIDS,THE OTHER WIRES THAT GO INTO A PLUG ABOVE THE SOLENOIDS WAS OFF,I PUT IT BACK ON,TOOK IT FOR A RIDE THEN IT WAS SHIFTING OUT OF THIRD AGAIN BUT SLIPPING OUT OF GEAR AGAIN,NOW IT WONT COME OUT OF THIRD AGAIN ON THE LAST RIDE,I HAVENT CHEKED THE BALLS AGAIN YET,BUT DO BELEIVE THEY ARE WHERE THEY NEED TO BE

THE L BRACKET FOR THE FILTER IS ON,YES I AM WORKING ON THE TRANSMISSION,

Can you restate what you have done?

Have you replaced the shift solenoids?

It is my understanding that the new shift solenoids come with a bracket, did you use it?

What codes are setting now?

I would go back and check everything, check balls, solenoid installation, electrical connections etc. We had a member have a similar problem to you, if I can find the thread, I will direct you to it. He ended up taking the car to a tranny shop

I JUST GOT TRANSMISSION BACK TOGETHER,AND IT WAS SHOWING THE P094 CURRENT,I RESET THE COMPUTER AND NOW THE ONLY CODE I GET IS P089 CURRENT,WHERE SHOULD I LOOK NOW? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

CAR TRIES TO SHIFT INTO 4TH GEAR AND RPMS FLUCTUATE CAR GOES IN AND OUT OF GEAR WHILE DRIVING THEN SHOWS THE P089 CURRENT

P089 (E089) ................. Long Shift and Maximum Adapt (Trans. Pressure Control)

One of the shifts is taking longer that .55 seconds to accomplish and the adapt has run out of leeway to compensate.

my transmission will try to shift into 4th gear but eventually the rpms will go up and the p094 solenoid sensor pops bak on,then i shut the car off while moving,put it in neutral,restart car put it back into drive and it will shift into 4th gear until it gets up to higher rpms and wont shift again until i shut it off ,start it back up hit the gas then i can get it into 5th,anybody know whats goin on with my car?ive already replaced the shift solenoids,installed the l bracket on the filter,cleaned the throttle body,cleaned the plug comin out of tranny,and reset the computer,help would be appreciated

i am having the SAME PROBLEM!! well almost. one solenoid was cracked in the plastic, i replaced them both. Also i put in the bracket to hold the screen in place, and new tubular filter. i drove the car and it shifted to second beautifully, then went right back into limp mode! now it stuck back in limp mode and wont shift at all except that time. same code - 29, 62 or 63, cant remeber because im at work. What could be the problem?? this is crazy

im just curious, but when you turn the key part forward should both solenoids click? i did check before install to see that it was a working new part i was installing.

thanks so much, ill be checking constanly, biting my nails and scratching my head until i can get this figured out.
