Bruce Nunnally
Had a quick, unplanned roadtrip Saturday for a family funeral. Picked up my brother on the way out of town and headed to Arkansas. The CTS did great for this trip, good touring car, good mpg, plenty of space. An XLR would have worked also. Temperature was in the 80s and 90s, so we had A/C on all the way, 1 passenger, light luggage. Cruised at 73 mph or so. Max speed 80-90 mph during 2-lane passes. I did not reset and track mpg on the way down, but the CTS averaged 26.6 mpg on the return trip. I saw examples of each of the last 3 generations of STS on the way back. Based on what I see people actually drive on the highway in Texas, Cadillacs make great road cars. We were able to listen to the Arkansas-Kentucky football game on one of XM radio's 3 SEC conference channels. Satellite radio is a must-have feature in my opinion.
