taiorlvb Posted March 30, 2006 Report Share Posted March 30, 2006 Hello....I have an 87 FWD Fleetwood D'Elegance....that has developed a transmission problem overnight. I drove the car last night....everything started out fine....got to a stop light....took off and it wont' shift from 1st to 2nd gear. I tried using the 3, 2, 1 to manually shift, and it does the same thing (stuck in 1st gear). Today, the guys at the auto parts store told me to change out the modulator, and it should fix the problem, but it hasn't. Any idea what the problem could be? And what I should check next? Any idea what it will cost to fix? I paid $2500 for this rebuilt, but it's been almost 10 years now...so no more warranty. Thanks for any input you might have. I appreciate it.
