DaveCarter
I've got a 2000 Seville SLS with about 109000 miles. During a road trip I began getting an intermittent chugging, with code P1860. The chugging is still intermittent, but the code engages every time I drive the car now. There is no P0741 code. Any ideas on how to correct or do I need to replace the TCC solenoid? Thanks, Dave
weephee
Hello Dave. I looked up your code in the manual and it indicates either a short or open to the TCC PWM (pulse width module) solenoid in the transmission. It suggests you look at the trans fuse under the hood fuse panel and then the IGN 1 cct for an open or short. Your problem sounds intermittent so a cct check from the large trans connect back to the source is where I would start. There is a pink wire from the Trans fuse which splits into 2 pink wires going to the large trans connector and there is a tan/blk wire that goes from the large trans connector back to the PCM The manual has a lot of details about this code so if you have a specific question, I could try and look up the answer. DaveCarter
Thanks Weephee, I'll try to check the fuse and wires first. Appreciate the offer...
