teamzr1 Posted May 20 Report Share Posted May 20 Daily weather now getting around 90F degrees by mid-morning Went to check how A/C was functioning to just get HVAC fan on, no cooling at all HVAC set to auto and coldest setting of 60F degree Checked the on-board diags, no DTCs at all for ECM and BCM Also used an OBD-I scanner and also showed no DTCs as all Scanned, the BCM and PIDs clearly show the A/C being commanded on and off cycling Checked Freon, at idle, low is about 40 PSI and high around 230 PSI, weather at the time was 85 F degrees Seems like the clutch of the compressor keeps going on for maybe 30 seconds, then off and keeps cycling this way HVAC screen and buttons seem OK, press auto and stays there, showing high speed for HVAC fan What could the cause be to debug, why clutch commanding on/off ?
