an01sts
I have played a little with having the shifer in second. It gives a nice shift, often barking the tires. At half throttle or less, it sucks major. Sure it's an agressive shift, but the hangin'/leveling off for a moment before shifting voids any gained time with the hard shift. When playing with Japanese burners, I'll keep it in "D," and I'll save the second shift for the heavy duty ones. Heck! I might have been able to beat that bad @$$ little Mercedes this summer had I known about the second shift. Then again, maybe not because I looked at it as if it was a Japanese burner.
