pghlong1 Posted September 14, 2011 Report Share Posted September 14, 2011 The instrument panel on my 2005 STS4 drops blanks out with door locks gong on/off and security light on panel coming on. It is very random. I had same problem eight months ago - replaced battery and problem disappeared. I had engine light randomly on / off and had catalytic converter recall taken care of. Also has random instances of panel failure with stability system and brake system messages in addition to a hard downshift issue after messages. Hard downshift clears with stop and restart of car - typically at a red light. Any ideas on where to look for problem? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
