STS Scott
After getting the STS back from a general service and oil change, I am seeking the help of the board here, for the cause of a clunking noise coming from the rear end, when going over choppy roads. The exhaust banging against the underbody does not seem likely, for it has oodles of clearence, nor do the suspension bushings, which is what I had them check out during the service - and they said they were fine. So what else is left back there that could be rattleing around? Struts? The trunk is perfectly clean, so I can rule out things banging around in there, too. Any Ideas? Scotty
We recently had someone that described the same problem. Jack the rear wheel up and grasp it at 12 and 6, and 3 and 9 o' clock and see if you have any play. If I can find the post I will refer you to the link. Early on sailors navigated by the stars at night and the North star became the symbol for finding ones way home. Once you know where the Northstar is you can point your ship in the right direction to get home. So the star became a symbol for finding ones way home or more symbolically even finding ones path in life.
