ACRViper
I slide the access door open on the trunk mounted CD holder and there's a noise, but the CD holder doesn't slide out. What's the trick for getting it out in a situation like this?
human
Most likely, what has happened is that a CD has become dislodged from its carrier tray and jammed the magazine. This can happen if you go over a big pothole or something that jars the player while it is in the process of changing discs. Take the player out of the car and remove the cover from it. You'll probably be able to see what's jammed up. You might be able to use a knife blade or something similar (try a plastic table knife) to push the disc back into the carrier tray. Once you've done that, you should be able to reconnect power and eject the magazine as normal. The CD will probably get scratched, but the player should be okay. Just be careful.
