I have 95 STS and would like to go to a passive system. Can anyone tell me the correct replacement strut and shock to use ( Monroe or Gabriel and their model numbers). Also will the 12 ohm 50 watt resistor work to bypass the computer for this model and year.

Check this site when you do your reseach someone recently used these struts, Mike

Early on sailors navigated by the stars at night and the North star became the symbol for finding ones way home. Once you know where the Northstar is you can point your ship in the right direction to get home. So the star became a symbol for finding ones way home or more symbolically even finding ones path in life.

I swapped the front struts in my last Caddy, a 94 earlier this year... Try Arnott Industries http://www.arnottindustries.com/

Thier struts are a drop in replacement, reasonably priced, and have the electronic simulator circuits built in... It plugs into the factory harness, and gave a nice firm but not stiff ride...

I was quite happy with them...

Check around in your area also... I was all prepared to do this myself until I found an independent tire store that swapped them out for $35/ea... With alignment I was out the door for less than $150 and didn't get dirty...
