TOOKOOL Posted July 22, 2004 Report Share Posted July 22, 2004 Hi, guys: Just bought a 92 sevile. Looks great, 83k miles on it. Problem is, it wil not run past idle. It starts just fine, but, as soon as you try to accelarate or just give it gas while it is in idle, it just shuts off. What is the most likely culprit? I know I did not pay much for it ($500), But if this is not a big problem then this would be a deal of a lifetime. Thanks for your sugestions or whatever you can offer. Can't remember specifically but I guess it was something needed replacing in the gear shift (yes, the gear shift) and cost around $600 w/ P&L. Runs perfect since.
