blb Posted June 28, 2004 Report Share Posted June 28, 2004 For those that replaced the a/c compressor bearing to get rid of a squeeking noise, before you changed the bearing, did turning the a/c 'off' or 'on' change the noise at all? Because the alternator and a/c compressor are so close on the Northstar, has anyone found that the alternator was the source of the noise rather than the a/c compressor bearing?
