Kutbait Posted March 1, 2009 Report Share Posted March 1, 2009 I'm looking at buying a 2006-2008 Escalade and have looked at several units that seemed to be made in Arlington, Texas and then shipped to California for use there. Now they have been sold used at various auctions and have ended up back in Texas. Since these cars have special California emissions, what is the difference between California emissions controls and the other states? Also, does it hurt performance and/or horsepower and is there any drawbacks when it comes to repairs or parts? Should I pass on these autos for other non-California vehicles?
