4pursells Posted May 31, 2004 Report Share Posted May 31, 2004 It appears as though my front mount is completely done, so much so that the engine raises almost six inches when revved up and viewed with car on a hoist. Is this common for the 4.9 or does oil from the engine over time break down the rubber. Where would be my best source for finding an inexpensive replacement. thanks very much. lacseville Posted May 31, 2004 Report Share Posted May 31, 2004 a new mount, or a new car... i'd go to cadillac and order a mount. i don't know that anybody else would carry that, plus if you found one in a boneyard, you'd have to take it off, and you don't wanna do that.
