White walls available for 17" ?

Recommended Posts

Is there any tire manufacturer that offers a 17 inch white wall?

Michelin and Vogue are the only ones that come close with a 16 inch offering.

I do not want the traditional vogue with the gold and yellow, for I see that is available in a 17". I was thinking just a pin-stripe white wall, nothing dramatic.

I hope not, but after lots of internet research, I may be out of luck!

Thanks for the input!

Besides those two, there isnt much that I can think of........I was looking for the longest time and it seems as though no one develops these anymore. Even in stock caddy sizes its getting harder to find a white wall.

Thanks Kevin!

Your right, I do believe, now that you have brought it to my attention, that I've seen those wheels/tires!

I'll stop by the Lincoln/Merc. Dealer ASAP

Thanks Again

What was I thinking? I have the internet right in front of me!

I confirmed that Lincoln does have a white wall available for their 17 inch rim, on their site (in fact they only offer 17n's, nothing less on the Town Car).

I then went to Tirerack.com, to compare the tire sizes.

The lincoln tire is a 225 60/17, where as the 17 inch Caddy tire is a 225 50/17.

So, the same width, just the Caddy's stock tire is a little lower profile (the middle number is a percentage of the tire width).

I am definetly going to wrap my new wheels in those Lincoln tires!

Cardio-Doc hooked me up with the 17 inch wheels from the 2004 CTS.

Oh boy am I stoked now!
