GOOB
will putting your car into nuetral (or park for that matter) while sitting idle at stop lights/stop signs extend the life or would it cause more wear because of the "extra" shifting? how about brake system? i can remember being in a few foreign countries and noticing the cab drivers did this alot. growe3
Mostly a big waste of time, and not that friendly to keep loading and unloading the transmission and drive shafts. An exception of course would be stopped for a long train crossing, a flagman in a construction project, etc.; where you expect to be standing still for 5 minutes or more. At that point I would place it in Park or just shut it off as conditions merit. -George Drive'em like you own 'em. - ....................04 DTS............................ liltrk
I agree. I don't think I would be taking any automotive cues from cab drivers in foreign countries either.
