The 4.6l Northstar V8 is one of the engines chosen. Article lists some companies that specialize in N* hop-ups and products. It goes through the preferred years.'95-'99. Lists the ups and downs of the engine, and has a picture of some off road guys creation of a V6 engine called the 3.5L Shortstar w/ turbo attached.
