1fast4door
I am trying to fix an '01 STS with door lock issues. Weekend before last on a long road trip the door locks started locking over and over again, never unlocking just trying to pull down, and the theft light on the dash would light occasionally. Not thinking that it was a big deal it was parked and the next morning the battery was dead. The battery got charged it made it home with the same results, doors locking repeatedly. Once home I pulled the codes and got these. AMP B1327 - Vehicle system voltage below 9.0 volts U1000 - Generic class 2 Failure/ Loss Class2 Communication of DIM DDM B1327 - Vehicle system voltage below 9.0 volts B3832 - Left Front Window Down Switch Circuit Low B3833 - Window Position Sensor Circuit U1713 - Loss of Front Door Module to Window Motor High Speed Comm DIM B1983 - B1983 System Voltage Low IPC B1004 - Loss of Keep Alive Memory IPM B1652 - KAM reset IRC U1000 - Generic class 2 Failure/ Loss Class2 Communication of DIM U1064 - Loss of Communication with BCM U1065 - Loss of Communications with IPM U1160 - Loss Of DDM Communications U1016 - Loss of PCM Communications MSM B1327 - Vehicle system voltage below 9.0 volts RFA U1305 - Class 2 Bus Shorted to Ground/ Battery RIM B1327 - Vehicle system voltage below 9.0 volts B1328 - Source/Battery Voltage High TTM B1982 - System Voltage High B1983 - System Voltage Low After looking over them I assumed that most of them were from the dead battery and the charging so I cleared all and cycled the locks and windows. I then pulled the codes again and got. DDM B3833 - Window Position Sensor Circuit After looking on-line, I came across this link http://www.justanswer.com/questions/2l2eg-i-have-a-2002-cadillac-sls-with-engine-codes-ddm-3833-pcmp0420 So I tried it and it seemed to work, I let it sit for a while and then pulled codes again. DDM B3172 - Window Up Switch Circuit Low B3382 - Left Front Window Down Switch Circuit Low B3833 - Window Position Sensor Circuit From what I have read, these codes could just be from the process of setting the express feature. I then cleared codes again and sat and watched the car for a while. I could hear the locks trying to pull down and the tail lights were flashing on and off randomly after a half hour or so I pulled codes again and there were none. Without any new codes in memory I am not sure what to try next. I am going to check out the battery, from what I hear these cars are sensitive to weak batteries. Other than that BCM? DDM? I find it odd that there were no VTD codes though, with the symptoms that were presented. Can someone help me out here?I am not sure which direction to take. It will be greatly appreciated.
