Bruce Nunnally
Welcome to Caddyinfo! Glad you found us. The 2006 DTS Performance sounds great. I like the changes they made in the grill, I think it really makes the look. First, you HAVE to get pictures and post them to photobucket.com or some place and link them back to here. I think the next thing is to decide before you get to 12 months OR 12K miles whether you want to get the extended GMPP warranty or not. The cost goes up after 12/12. Don't baby the car too much. I do believe in a short breakin, say 500 miles, of never maintaining the same speed, never revving cold, etc., but the actual GM Engineers say that is no longer needed. They run the Northstars hard right out of the box. Keep all receipts for service, maintenance, etc. Read this forum every day, and ask a lot of questions Bruce 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube
KHE
Congrats on yor new Cadillac - I really like the looks of the '06 Deville! It really has the Cadillac look - much more so than the '00-'05 models except it's missing the stand-up hood ornament looking back at its owner... Take it easy for the first 500 miles but after that drive it like you stole it... The Northstar likes to be run hard. Texas Jim
Now, back to talking about Cadillac's. I bought mine from a lawyer in Dallas. It had 10,800 miles on it. Now has 11,600. Thanks Bruce for mentioning the 12/12000 thing. I did not know that the price changed. I will call Sewell and Frank Kent <local dealers> tomorrow and do some price shopping. Bruce Nunnally
Also try http://www.gmoutlet.com/gmpp.htm as they claim to discount the GMPP warranty. Bruce 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube

JohnnyG
So, did you get the "dealer cash" or did they keep it? Never underestimate the amount of a persons greed.
