How can Cadillac Owners find Caddyinfo?

....

I wish I knew better ways to reach more owners.

How about all of us printing business cards with the URL only and sticking them under the wiper blades of every Cadillac we walk past in a parking lot?

And a prominent link on these pages to the source for caddyinfo.com license frames and other promo items.

Baby steps.

Yes, that seems like the right type of ideas.

For the business cards it would be fairly easy for me to post a template here on the site and specify a Avery number and a way for Readers to print locally. Or we can offer cards at cost of course.

I have tried to think through a package for dealers to offer which would include 1st year of membership on the caddyinfo.com forum in a new class of membership, or similar. Make it free to the Dealer but of value to the buyer.

Previously we considered adhesive caddyinfo.com logo's for the side window glass, but there are issues with tinted windows.

Not sure if people are excited about any stickers on paint. I ordered some bumper stickers like these once: IPB Image but they did not move.

There are some new magnet type products that work well enough -- I keep a magnet on the back of my CTS through car washes, etc. My intuition is things that are easy for us to display are better than things you would need to keep up with.

Also considered grill badges, but they would cost $25 ea as I recall:

I split this out as a separate topic for clarity.

Also I should mention there are stickers, magnets, shirts, etc that can be ordered here:

Maybe yet another poll asking readers / members how they found this site?

I do not remember how I arrived here many moons ago but others probably have fewer senior moments.

I am constantly talking to Caddy owners and telling them about this site, especially if they do their own work and they appear to be caddy NUTS. Business cards with Caddyinfo on them sounds good, I was considering making my own awile back, it saves having to write down the URL. I need to buy a new caddyinfo license plate frame mine is washed out.

We could write our name on the back of the business card, ie, BodybyFisher, Scotty, Tuvok, Spock, Data, Sulu, etc...

Probably it makes sense to get involved with Google's car-related forums referring every time to caddyinfo.com. The same applies to edmunds.com forums.

A few folks at the Chrysler Minivan Fan Club forums got banned in the Edmunds forums for not drinking the Honda Odyssey/Toyota Sienna koolaid. Yes, they got banned for standing up for American quality. Oh well...

I love the idea of the business cards. Bruce, do you have that graphic as a template in MS Word? I'll print them out today and keep them with me in the car.

Caddyinfo.com business card invitations:

These are intended to be locally printed by CaddyInfo Members as a way to invite other Cadillac Owners to join us here on the web.

Instructions:

Supplies:

+ Ink jet printer

+ Avery Type 8371 Business Card Stock. This is 10 cards/page standard business card stock available from most office stores, or several places online. The 8371 is the Avery product number which can be used to ensure you get the one intended. A package of 25 pages for 250 cards is $10-15.

+ PC with Microsoft Word. Actually, WinXP's built in wordpad will read the file, but not sure if it will print it correctly; I will test that to follow.

+ Template file (below) to be printed

Procedure:

+ Open a template file, either black or red/blue as desired.

+ Put business card stock in the printer, noting which way it should face

+ Print 1 sheet to ensure alignment, print quality, etc.

The two files are identical except for the coloring:

http://www.caddyinfo.com/caddyinfobuscards_black.doc

http://www.caddyinfo.com/caddyinfobuscards_red_blue.doc

They are based on the image shown, but modified slightly, and they note that the card was printed by a CaddyInfo Member. They are text only.

Comments welcome on format, colors, fonts, approach.

How about license plate frames. with " www.caddyinfo.com" and a set of American flags on each side. Made in bulk, and purchased by members here? I'll take one for the front and one for the back.

winterset, are you aware that a license plate frame is currently available? See this link:

It would be nice to have a larger audience for caddyinfo.

On the other hand, it means the signal to noise ratio will drop since you'll also attract the idiots.

JASON........Its funny you mentioned Edmunds.

They sure get testy when you post direct links to other

forums. I have had several user names over there

from getting banned also !

In the Caddy forums I slip in the "mickey" from time to time

directing other Caddy owners over here for good advise and

general fun !

Otherwise its pretty dead for DeVille owners there.........geo
