2000 Seville A/C Help

A/C wasn't working. Had refridgerant level checked this morning at a shop. They told me it was empty, and recharged with dye. Said they didn't think there was a severe leak since it held a vacuum. Took car home and couple of hours later wife was in garage and heard a hissing sound (I can't hear it being partially deaf). Took it back to shop (air was still working). Mechanic shined a black light around the accumulator area and didn't see any leak. By afternoon the A/C wasn't working. Seems to be a small stain with the dye right under the condensor/radiator area on the right front side on my garage floor. I'm going to take it back to the shop on Monday to check the leak with black light, but thought I would ask here because of the great amount of knowledge. Is there any fitting/connection in that area, or is likely a bad condenser?

Thanks,

Dave

Yes there is a fitting on mine, its on the drivers side of the condenser toward the top, its a block with two lines going in with o-rings. I would imagine that a black light would light up the leak. Sounds like its that connection block or the condenser leaking.. GooD luck.

Found the link. It is in the line that runs under/along side the condensor on the bottom. Anyone know if this is the discharge line or suction line? I can't tell from the pictures in alldata...

THanks,

Dave

Dave,

I didn't get a chance to reply to your PM this afternoon. The discharge line runs from the compressor toward the left side (driver's side) of the car and then up to the orifice tube. The suction line runs from the compressor to the accumulator.
