DTS_driver
I have a few questions with the rear suspension on this car, I carry a heavy load in the trunk daily and I want to know what kind of suspension modifications can be done to carry the load without hurting the rear air shocks...I currently damaged the shocks cause the rear is sitting low and the compressor turns on which lifts the back up only for a few minutes then slowely starts to go back down...maybe time for new shocks? maybe replace them with gas-shocks for the help on the load? I dont want to lose the cadillac ride either... thanks
KHE
Check the air line connections - one probably blew off the shock or at another connection point. Once you reconnect the line, the proper operation of the level control system should be restored. BodybyFisher
Not to hijack this thread, but while we are on this topic, what I am about to ask is relavant. I want to raise my rear end up about 1 inch. I was thinking of lengthing the level control rod two turns and see what impact that has on my rear height. Does this make sense? It seems to me that my air shocks are not really lifting the rear at all. I would like to be one inch higher. Thanks for ideas. The problem with that idea is the car rides alot stiffer in the rear end, and you lose the Caddy ride.I have had my compressor relief valve fail and the shocks would pump up everytime you started the car but never leveled and you notice the difference in ride.
