Marika
Watch German race car driver Sabine Schmidt tackle the Nurburgring in a FORD TRANSIT VAN!! She does the entire ring in 10 minutes.... Ford, by the way, is a very much loved car in England. Everyone is crazy about them and swear they are great cars. Even Queen Elizabeth, in her MASSIVE collection of marvelous cars, she has a Ford Escort, her favorite car. Video runs for a bit over 10 minutes. http://www.topgear.com/content/timetoburn/.../broadband.html How does the guy in the Porsche feel being passed by a van???? If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans.

Marika
That's freakin' awesome! Well worth watching! I love the part where she's blowing past a bunch of guys on motorcycles and yells, english dog on a bike.... That's why I've always said, it's not necessarily the car that wins the race. It's the driver. That truck was a whopping 136 hp diesel engine, able to do 0 to 60 in about 21 seconds...LOLOL!!! If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans.
WarrenJ
That was a HOOT! I wonder what Sabina might have done with one of our cars? I had no idea Nurburgring was open to the public. Regards, Warren I think Cadillac took some of their cars to Nurburgring at one time for testing. For a few dollars you can go around the track once. As they said in the video, many have died there too. If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. WarrenJ
Shame on me! It's "Sabine," not "Sabina" as I wrote. It's always good to know these things before one proposes marriage. Richard gets to sit INSIDE the car while the folks at Siemans in Germany fires 800,000 volts at the car. Pretty funny. http://www.topgear.com/content/timetoburn/.../broadband.html Also, playing darts with cars...LOL!!
