Bruce Nunnally Posted May 31, 2006 Report Share Posted May 31, 2006 Nice details about the Mid_Ohio World Challenge race here: http://www.theracesite.com/index.cfm?paget...m_article=11661 It is rare that I am quick enough to catch a spinning car but here Johnny O'Connell has just spun his Cadillac CTS-V in the Carousel during practice. Johnny was skilled enough to keep the car on the pavement for the most part avoiding the wet and muddy grass and the sand trap lurking there. In this shot Johnny has already stopped the car and is waiting for a hole in traffic to get going again as his teammate Andy Pilgrim flashed past in the #1 Cadillac. I haven't been on it in a few years, and would love to get back out on it now that it has been totally repaved. It was real bad in recent years with the cement patches and the grinding they did to try to extend its life (or levigating or some term like that), especially for the motorcycles!
