Bruce Nunnally
This is one of my favorite references for Cadillacs year to year: (The link is setup as a referral link from Caddyinfo.com.) The picture says 2004, but the link goes to the 2005 version. Cadillac Jim
I bought this book and like it a lot. It has similar information to the famous Cadillac History pages, which have been replaced by a single blank page for the last week or so. I do notice that they reverse the VIN for the Northstars -- they call the 270/275 hp a VIN 9 and the 295/300 hp a VIN Y. See the Engines paragraphs for the 1997 models on page 347; they do the same for the other years. The LD8/L37 designations are right. kdaddy
Bruce, I love this catalog. Please go to the year 1977 in the catalog and see what it says about that year. Something along the lines of an eye popping downsize. LOL I guess when your Fleetwood and DeVille are "only" 221 inches long and 4200 pounds its like driving a compact car. Or, I guess that would be considered small for 1977. Kdaddy Edited February 12, 2007 by kdaddy
