kenricrose
I am experienceing a strange electrical problem with my wife's '96 STS. Here is how it goes: The turn signals don't work at all, ever. The ABS light is on. The traction light is on. The heated seats don't work. Sometimes the ABS and traction lights are not on, then the heated seats work. That is until you touch the turn signal stalk. Then the ABS and traction lights come on and the heated seats don't work again. Somehow I get the idea that they are all related. I have checked evey fuse in the car, even in the trunk. They are all good. Voltage is good, as is the main ground. Sounds like a ground to me but where? Any input would be appreciated. jcobz28
Ever resolve this problem? I am experiencing the same issue. Can't get the turn signals to work for the life of me. All new bulbs, new flasher, good fuse... what gives? And I get the same ABS/TCS lights coming on when I flip the stalk, and then it throws me into 2nd gear starts. An ODD combo that would seemingly be unrelated, but it happened to you, and now it's happening to me, and we both have 1996 Sevilles. I get PZ2042 (loss of serial communication to EBCTM) and P1602 (knock sensor performance) as well. Did you find the problem?
